As the leaves begin to fall
and the summer turns to autumn
our thoughts change, as do the leaves
and remember times forgotten

The days long past, the nights gone by
sunsets, sunrises, birthed, and died
the memories flood through our minds
of all instances passed by

Reclining beneath the large oak tree
the memories consuming me
of what we had and what we lost
when we set eachother free

I remember everything about how we used to be
we were young, and happy, just us, you and me
but time turns as the seasons do
we grew apart... and i lost you

As i lay under the autumn sky,
i hope your not in pain
because if i ever caused you any hurt
i know that i would die.

One in a sea of millions has the power to change the world...

Not everyone can accept change.  Then we have to do the best for ourselves, as well as for others.  Thanks for the read.

It's great to see your writing again....
Autumn is my favorite season and it often makes me sentimental and thoughtful too.
This is wonderful poetry.....I hope to see more!!!!
