I have danced for
So long, so very long;
My legs keen mutely, feet weep,
And I, finally, beg a chair

Hollow smiles
Dressed in fine thread,
Play tender chords
To hopeful hearts

The hour is late, and
The band is instrumental;
That subtle killing floor
Beckons to all, even me

Oh, Welcome to Passions!  I hear the music underlying this potent write.  I hope you find yourself most welcome, and let us know if you ever have any questions.

Viewed objectively, posting publicly and mispelling Desperate is truly striving for mediocrity.  Thanx for the reply.

Very nice write. Of course, it made me think of the old Skip James tune "Hard time killin' floor blues"

Hmmm, you could have well been mispelling "disparate"....Such is the nature of poetry, eh?

and uhm, "glamour" can also mean enchantment, or magic as well. Thanks for the read and welcome to Pip.
