road trip back from nowhere
luke-warm hand holds mine
falling in and out of consciousness
gently pass the time
his shoulder's much too slender
to hold the waking dead
smile upon the small of my back
he kisses my forehead
the darkness seems to know us
and put us well in place
the shadow of my lips
to the shadow of his face
the fragrance of my eyelids
to the silhouette of his ears
the obscurity of his memory
to the obscurity of my years
the sudden clicking of the brake pedal
catches our moment by surprise
his confusion joins with mine
we can't believe our eyes
i'm clawing for his fingertips
his wrist sweeps my lashes
the chaos floats around us
and we're sieving through the ashes
the entropy seems to know us
and put us well in place
the absence of his tender touch
to the absence of my embrace
the fragrence of forever
to the silhouette of amen
the obscurity of life
to the obscurity of the end.

i think that it's brainless to assume that making changes to your window's view will gain a new perspective.

WOW!!! You totally took me out away from my computer into this poem. I could see exactly what was going on and clinched on to every word. This poem is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing.
