In look they turned with frightened eyes
For darkness came to fill the skies
The wind did howl as wolves demented
And minds did freeze from what represented

In haste they came to old one’s tent
For they knew not what had been sent
Guardian, please light the fire
For surely the spirits are in ire

With a sigh, from within he came
And said, my children, its all the same
Sit in circle while I light the fire
To hold back darkness and ease their ire

Sit on buffalo robe to gain its strength
Stretch hands to fire at full arm’s length
Close the eyes, for the light remains
To erase the darkness and its chains

The old ones are showing how your mind does feel
When you let the darkness make you reel
Then gives you fire to see the light
Which sends the darkness away in fright

What you fear, is fear itself
Put the howls and blackness on the shelf
For the night will fade upon dawn’s door
And the sun will warm you to soul’s core

Heed the warning the ancients gave
Let not the darkness hold in sway
Give your spirit the chance to shine
And let this be a vision and sign

Now go work and play, in clear sunlight
Which washes away your fears and fright
For the black will only chain you down
And give you thoughts on which to frown

With happy cry, they left their fear
And set aside the frown and tear
The wind blew gentle and the sun was warm
And peace did come to wash any harm

Sometimes it can be a frightening experience,
depression - it is when we reach out and touch
those who know, that we are touched, again,
with the light of understanding.

Well done.

It's good you see you back in the slightly rearranged blue pages....

Logan, upon the orange, you read as beautifully as in the blue.
I'll be keeping this golden write, and thanking you for sharing the warmth of the true flame.

That gentle wind that blew across prairie and plains ....
spoke in whispered wisdom as it sighed your name.

You're the color of the sky reflected in each store-front window pane ...
You're the whispering and the sighing of my tires in the rain.

I have been fighting with much valor against this sort of thing lately, Sweet Warrior. It is good to see you here when I finally do get to come back.

Lovely and inspiring as usual

Solid, Logan. Among your best, for sure. There is much in this that touches reality, and some that transcends it.
