In Your Poetic Mind

A simple reflection

emerges to extend
thoughts    blowing
wind and stormy   seas,
distant horizons    just out of reach
   simple worth

times like this,
nothing softer,
nothing less will do

You awake,
living life,
sometimes in a static
between stations,
between  answers &
   white noise
hoping to find
ponderings,   of
each moment   each  silent each time

searching for,
something to hold
an indication this is where
   you want,    need to be

Fingers  of my soul
await   your   song,
like  hunger
they become my soul, &
words depart briefly
from my lips   &    allowing me to
shift deeper among my life,
wrapping my heart in layers

The palm of your hands
bleed    poetry,
speaking   of rain dancing,
and fallen hope   I can
recite each   line
trickle,   drop
    rolling softly,
falling   endlessly

       {yet}

    Hearing your words,
feeling your words,
stir my emotions  to be

beautiful
the main character

believe

Will the wind ever remember the names
it has blown in the past with
its crutch its old age and its widsom
it whispers no this won't be the last

and how many
characterizations
live within each of us
begging release,
wanting
to dance
in the rain?

Ah girl.  Very good.

you always amaze me.... and always capture more for the reader than I ever thought possible with mere words.. but words are never "mere" when you write..

lovely my friend..absolutely lovely

stunning poetic exploration poetess Lauren.
ditto all that Ron said.

You're the color of the sky reflected in each store-front window pane ...
You're the whispering and the sighing of my tires in the rain.
