Listening to every heart

0 posted 2003-10-28 12:02 PM

He did not mean
to raise her tears
or lower her fears
           still in awe
is she

for many a trip upon canvassed plain
of parchment
to deeper pools of thought,
he's taken her,
never forsaking her
of kindness' dwell ~
and talked her through hell

he'll never know
that in bend to kiss
she wanted to impart
that veil of mist
where dreams are found
by poets, bound
by many a trip
upon canvassed plain
to deeper pools
where parched souls sip

but e'en leather
crouched in crinkled keep
of arid space
grows supple if not jerked,
but rather,
tended by moist tear of what was
and soft, softer,
softly enfolding parchment
of dreams
once again...

speak ye to the keeper of hope,
for she is eternal
even in her naiveté
that some one hand might dwell
upon thy breast

though time clicks by,
feel the wink of lash
against thy cheek
and blink not, for
'tis real, the hand of friend...

Not much better feeling than holding the hand of a friend is there, and I think you nailed this one rigth on!

Try to make time to listen to
someone who talks with their heart.

yep...of him and this lovely, unique write...
mind if I keep it?

You're the color of the sky reflected in each store-front window pane ...
You're the whispering and the sighing of my tires in the rain.

I always admire your choice of words and how they form the images you see.  Nicely done.  KJ

The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

as seas shall wash the soul
from bondage,  so shall the
hand that touches in kindness.

A worn and leathery hand reaches
out,  that it might touch again
the parchment..

Beyond the veil...

What a gentle beauty this is, and to think I almost missed it. Glad I didn't let it pass.
