Would that it could, my heart, explore
to the depths of desire, adore
beyond emotions, thought left behind
and bring to you, bountiful find

would that it could, my heart, give more
devotion, unbridled outpour
surpassing love, if unconfined
feast for heart, body, soul and mind

would that it could, my heart, implore
whisper softly, it’s you I live for
to all other’s, I remain blind
in every beat you are entwined

would that it could, my heart, as before
love you, love you, forevermore

A heart such as yours could love forevermore.

~ So 'love'ly, light, and lyrical.

WOW! it's been a while since I've read your words.
This is a beauty! especially
this:
quote:
it’s you I live for
to all other’s, I remain blind
in every beat you are entwined

I'd know those rhymes blindfolded...classic Sea-girl poetry...romantic and lovely.
Love the phrasing in this.
Good to see ya Susan!

You're the color of the sky reflected in each store-front window pane ...
You're the whispering and the sighing of my tires in the rain.
