Saluting with misty eyes

0 posted 2003-10-28 04:15 AM

Do you remember what it was like
Early that bright September morning
When the skies turned that sinister grey
As our world fell under terror's spell
The war had been joined against our will
With you screaming the loudest for revenge
Of three millenia worth of lives
It seems times have changed for you
Your hypocracy shines brighter each day
Showing concern when the ghosts look like you
A death mask of the unfamiliar
Brings cries of isolation and withdrawal
Proving your heart and your self righteous lies
Life, Liberty, and Justice
Belong only to those whom you approve

We are all equal but we’re individually different
and able to reach the impossible if we try.

and so should we never forget...
(as if we could)

thank you for sharing poet sir.

You're the color of the sky reflected in each store-front window pane ...
You're the whispering and the sighing of my tires in the rain.

Bah.  I would say send it to him, but we all know what a huuuuuge dent THAT would make on his dense head, huh?

Enjoyed this.

(big hugggsssssssss) This reminded me so much of Darryl Worley's "Have You Forgotten?", and I was one who didn't swear revenge after 9/11, but simply cried for America and only wondered how some people can have such hate in their hearts, as revenge itself is a form of hatred in my opinion! (sad sigh) It disgusted me deeply to see Darryl's song go to #1, the world is a sad place right now, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bradly, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
