Past The Emptiness

Have you ever experienced that
feeling after your love is gone?
You know the one I mean...
Emptiness, emptiness,
emptiness to the extreme.
Perhaps only days before
your vessel was full.
But now all is spilled and
new feelings are revealed
and you feel like a fool.
Having nothing as in unoccupied.
Having no worth or purpose.
Useless and unsatisfied.
Just one touch of her caress
would fill the void of emptiness.
But you'll never feel that caress.
The feelings you will be
feeling are called emptiness.
I know well of emptiness.
Tell me that your love is gone
and I'll tell you, you must go on.
Past the caress.
Past the emptiness.
