                    Dots

I can’t
                                       stop
         thinking that if               I
                                      could
just        connect         the
                           dots
it               might             simplify
get direct
          come down
                      to a message
as unambiguous as thrown pottery
but            I’m          in              it
already     the         pattern    drawn
and         infinitely    complex
all              the        lines
            shadings
              obvious:

I have to find the dots.

Ed, just a comment.  Bring in your words a little, sir - too MUCH space in-between, and my mind needs more than dots to connect them.  But I surely enjoyed what you had to say.

Sometimes we connect all the dots and don't like the picture we see in front of us. *S*

I like this very much, my friend... You found enough dots to draw curves using only straight lines. *S*

Hi Sunshine -- you right, a good catch....I drew things in a bit and it does look better!

Ho Ruthie (sorry, had to get a Ho to match the Hi for Sunshine....) I had that epiphany last night, watching the ash fall, and trying to make patterns out of it....There Ain't No Blankety-Blank Pattern! But man oh man are there dots......

ROFL... Thanks for explaining that... LOL I thought I'd been promoted! *G*

Perhaps no pattern... but portraits in the dots, my friend... that you found and shared.

When I connect the dots I wind up with a lot of closed in boxes, but if I doodle I once came up with a teapot. Is there meaning to this I don't know. I guess, doodle and look at all the beauty you can find in so many shades and colors.
Oh! Dear! I'm sounding serious.

Ed...When it rains, I see the patterns the drops make on the cement....sort of like watching clouds...there are no doubt patterns in ash too.  I will have to look more closely.  Stay safe!  Hugs!

Of course the real patterns are in life, and the things of life that confound me.....so many dots, so many lines.....
