When love hurts so badly
as  NOW
with all this distance between

Which is better.....
the having of love within
or not ?

The ache is so real
so painful
break of heart
hurt

I wonder.......

I can honestly tell you, the pain was in my stomach somewhere and it really hurt, felt devestating...but...the pain you feel right now....replace it with the wonderment and the knowlege of the gift of true love...what you feel, felt and know...it is something magnificant...very real, spiritual and more...write about it...b/c in your life...loving as you've experienced, you've touched the heart of God.

Smiles and hugs to you

(big hugggsssssssss) Oh Ethel, this aches so very much, sweet friend, I hope this is just a random poetical thought and not tied in with you and Gary as you two are so special and seem so truly happy together! (sigh) I still haven't gotten to feel what true love is and though Joanna broke my heart already, I believe it is important to have love than not have it at all, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

For you...from Rumi~

Love Dogs
by Rumi
One night a man was crying,
            "Allah, Allah!"
His lips grew sweet with the praising,
until a cynic said,
         "So! I have heard you
calling out, but have you ever
gotten any response?"
The man had no answer for that.
He quit praying and fell into a confused sleep.
He dreamed he saw Khidr, the guide of souls,
in a thick, green foliage,
            "Why did you stop praising?"
Because I've never heard anything back."

"This longing you express
is the return message."

The grief you cry out from
draws you toward union.

Your pure sadness that wants help
is the secret cup.

Listen to the moan of a dog for its master.
That whining is the connection.

There are love dogs no one knows the names of.
Give your life to be one of them.

Hi garysgirl. I wonder too. I know they say 'tis better to have loved...mmm is it? Would I give up my pain for the blessedness of indifference? I suppose not.

Ethel?   You already know the answer..

then you won't see the best that I would love to do for you"

you know the answer...
But I know that hurt, in my own way.
I hope the distance goes soon, and you can be in his arms
