Diamonds Never Lose Their Sparkle Falling to dreams I saved a tear, it’s sparkle not lost in a plunge to it’s end; a world of my inner-soul awakened, a fantasy, a view as I would have life be, in a perfect world – but only inside of me. Diamonds never loose their sparkle, nor my heart the rhythm of the love it gives – perfect love, in a perfect world, my inner-soul awakened, by you. I steal the leaves from fall-red trees knowing spring will bring them back, turn each one into a heart, and lay a path for you to walk – to me . . . a fantasy, a world of my inner-soul awakened, a perfect world – where you love me, true only . . . inside of me. w.james beard, jr.
