Silhouette Demimondaine

Thou dances' in and out of dreams,
As if wedded to spectral themes--
--O’ youthful mistress of the night.
Thy locks as flaxen as the sun,
My gist and fondness you have won,
I know this love twixt us is right.

In rhythm we dance on the floor,
Your tender touch I can't ignore,
We murmur in each other's ears.
Aye when a melody is blue,
I need to snuggle close to you,
So I might cleanse your honest tears.

Shadow dancer do you believe--
--That my calenture’s but naïve--
--The deceit of wishful vision?
We all love invariably,
Hence I can dance--eternally,
What my heart feels with precision.

You withdraw ere the coming dawn,
How it tears me that you have gone,
Will you come back when darkness falls?
In a cloth gown frosted with light,
Return to me all festive bright,
Let us dance in dim shadowed halls.

Round about we’ll waltz and sing,
Yea of the awe inspiring,
That subsists in this world of ours.
Our zeal was ever meant to be,
Delimit love not as debris,
Live for naught but these small hours.

Shadow dancer do you believe--
--That my calenture’s but naïve--
--The deceit of wishful vision?
We all love invariably,
Hence I can dance--eternally,
What my heart feels with precision.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

Well that Sy enjoys it - he wrote one once
of chandeliers and dance...which spun off a whole BUNCH of poets trying to match his wit and wisdom...

this is a wonderful write.  I enjoyed it, myself.

Now there are two.

Your way of expressing yourself reminds me of Lord Byron just a bit...this is an excellent piece of work. I can tell you have studied some classics...

There are only three beings worth of respect; the priest, the solider and the poet; To know, To Kill  and to create.

Shakespeare this is totally beautiful.

Your words never fail to amaze me.

Hugs my dear friend for such beauty and grace
with words you pen to paper.

Love it
