A Sifting

I weary moments sifted through
And those of new that brought the coup
They disappear into the mist
Into the memories file and list

Into the well of changing time
They drift into a pantomime
And there they mortar fantasy
Within a waters argosy

They’re gone and yet they are not gone
Some are sound and some are torn
And some are placed so still and deep
You cannot trace them when you sleep

And there they sanctum in the well
The dwell of phantoms and dispel
To fill a pasture full of gleams
Of knights and queens within our dreams

I do not say that all are good
Just that they, be understood

Love this Seymour. Great flow to the poem. Love the rhyme scheme too. Wonderful job. Very intriguing write. I wish I had penned it. Oh well I can draw from the idea and find my own muse. Thanks!

I'm with Enchantress--especially liked the second verse, but the whole poem was beautifully written.   Your talent puts me in awe.
