Dear Mom,
You’ll never read these words I write,
You’ll never hear the things I’ll say…
Its been awhile since I’ve seen you,
But I’ve been missing you today.

I’ve just been thinking of your life
Of all the trials you’ve been through
And how you left me home with dad,
After you did all you could do.

And so I wanted you to know,
Though I won’t whisper in your ear
That I forgive you, mom, for leaving
And forgive you for not being here.

Don’t feel bad, I’ve been okay
I’m steady and my heart is calm.
Its ok now, I understand.
You’ll always be my only Mom.

Love,
Your Baby Girl

Wow...sheesh,  looking for words,  fumbling.
GG,  this is an incredible write.  you have
done a marvelous job of composing this poem.

It says a lot about a person,  about two
people.... it says an awful lot about
maturity and courage....

Don't ever lose this poem....

Dixie,
I always make you hurt... you're such a sweetie. Thank you.

Magnus,
I'm honored, thank you. It only took a couple minutes to write, but I meant every word. My mom never had a chance in life... I've just been realising that lately, so I forgive her for not being here... she loves me as much as she can. I think she's the one with the courage. again though, thank you.... means alot sir

Always, Alyssa

GG-

this was so touching and heartfelt, hurt
to read, but also made me smile, such
tenderness. i hope you and your mom are
able to get in touch soon--it's never too
late you know. it is ironic that i should
read this now, because i'm about to post
something about my own mom. thank you for
a most beautiful read.
take care

Alyssa,

How could she not be proud of such a wonderful daughter?

This was an amazing piece.  Thank you for sharing something so personal.

Oh, Alyssa, such pain that must have caused you ~ and continues to do so.

You are right about having a forgiving heart. Forgiveness is a gift we also give to ourself.

I feel like giving you a big, warm hug. Your Mom is missing out on so much. You are very special, Alyssa. The day will come, when this won't hurt as much.

Eric,
thank you you're right in that it is a part of me... Thanks for replying.

Aimster,
you're right, its never too late... and soon I'll contact her, and we'll go out for dinner again. Even if we're more just like fallen pals, she'll always be my mom. And I'll always love her for that. Thank you

Susan,
trust me... my family has a way of not seeing things. A huge compliment, though, from you, thank you

EA,
thank you I don't think it hurts me so much as it hurts her though. I'm beginning to understand all she went through more now, and I think she is beginning to feel more guilty. I know she loves me as much as she knows how to... again, thanks
