Hi everyone. I am 17 and decided to share a poem that I wrote today so here it goes.

Do you know what it's like to not know why? To want to sit down and allow yourself to cry. But you know you cant and you must be strong to allow yourself to carry on.

Do you know what it's like to not feel an embrace or a soft stroke across your face? For all those things which felt so good no longer feel the way they should.

Do you know what it's like to scream in pain from a quiet breeze or a gental rain? And all you want is to go outside but instead you sit in the house and hide.

Do you know what it's like to have people stare and totally be unaware that even though you look how you should you can't do the simple things that you once could?

Do you know what it's like to see people smile and you watch them all the while, hoping that someday you too will have something to smile about the way they do?

Do you know what it's like to see doctors day after day and them not understand why you are this way? And they fight over treatment and who's wrong or right and all you want is to give the good fight.

Do you know what it's like to want to go back, to a time you were well and all was just right but you know that you can't? So you continue on the path which you see and hope for the best what so ever it may be.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I know the poem may sound like I feel as if there is no hope but honestly it is the exact opposite. I was just really frustrated with doctors fighting and people not understanding. Thank you all once again for the welcome and the great things you have to say. It means a lot.

I so know what you mean about the doctors and about the people.
None of them have a clue... and they all say to do better. yea, I know...

you'll like it here, I can't wait to read more of your poetry.
