Taste

Taste
the changing  wind,
the breath
of distant snow,
the hint
of wood in flames.

Stand
to face the light
that spears
through massive clouds
to spurn
a dreary day.

Die,
if that’s your path,
and join
the spiral flight
of hawks
that mock the sky.

just to try and do as the hawks do in their
flight..even if we are beset with grey slate skies in our minds...neat thought

I don't care if she never answers her E-mail -- she's a darn good poet!

Marge-*hugs* right back atya, girl!

Martin! You changed your name, and you know how bad I am with names already. Sigh. But I'm so glad you like the poem.

Magnus, thanks about the poem. I'm not Marti, but thanks anyway.

Ethel- I like that part, too. Heck, I wrote it-so I like all of it.

James, thanks. What email? Sigh-I don't get half my email I think. Send it again, and I'll see if they consign you to the junk drawer, they do that a lot.

passing shadows-how very kind of you!
