~* A Moment In Time *~

Starting with a,
"Glorious sunset, want to see it?"
"Sure!" So I ran.

Mechanical eye and I
Emerged through the portal
Finding coloured pages
Done by the master.

There …
In the sky, like a honey’s dollop
sliding off to mark its place,
with just enough glint to
set a twinkle in one’s eye,
it grasped and held fast.

Then…
In a heartbeat, an instant
I dared not close my eyes,
as the birds counted
the pauses between each breath,
suddenly,
it appeared.

To soon …
He closed his coloring book, but ...

As if wishing someone a rainbow,
I captured a moment in time
for a friend that could
never be duplicated.

Thank you for 'sharon'ing this deVine moment in time! Absolutely breath-taking!--poetically and pictorally!

What amazes me is that I got to see it just minutes after it happened! It was like being there!

But she didn't tell you that the minute she walked outside, God gave her the rainbow because she's such a special lady!

I love the poem, Other Sharon!!! Thank you!

As God is my witness I was running out the back to take a picture of the sun going down in the front of my house when I opened the door and WHAM!  The color was not even captured in these pictures (as I am a lousy photographer,) but just as the sun was going down, I thought, now if I could only show her a rainbow - and he heard I think.  As I was crossing the street back the house I looked left and there it was!  I scrambled for that darn camera, and got it quick before it left to show Sharon, who lives in a desert, that there can be rainbows just for her!  She is in the world-record setting heat wave kind of day, and this was a "virtual relief" card LOL

Thanks everyone for liking my home pictures.

Sharon, both the poem and your pictures are just beautiful. A moment captured forever through the eyes and heart, from one friend to another. Just lovely.

Best wishes and hugs,
/Kit
