In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2003-10-22 09:56 AM

Upon this earth
    awaken my heart

what is my soul?
but written words;
forgotten time

at night     shadows catch you
in layers of light

I use  to hear their    soft whispers
every breath
every movement
such   silent weavers

{but} this world is not
quiet tonight

fires are burning
    the sand is heavy
the clocks are loud

Another fading of petals
will leave this house
in shades of solitude

    {I almost laughed}

I watched the moon trace
   the floor with jaded  eyes
looking for reason, and thoughts of
hope---nothing,

light a cigarette, and watch the ashes
fall
a tapestry with no meaning

I sometimes think of you
   in windows
but cant remember the color of
your eyes--

holding a mirror    close
   I cant remember who I am--
separated earth and sky
realm to realm

as if knowing
would tear this moment apart

don't speak again your words,
love should never be hard

the wall remains

  {I layed down and cried}

torn

Will the wind ever remember the names
it has blown in the past with
its crutch its old age and its widsom
it whispers no this won't be the last

So,so true. Love should never be hard. I think it has it's bumps in the road, but it should never be a struggle to find their heart. It's either love, or it's not. Thanks for sharing.
Love,
Terri~

God Lady L~  you just wrote how I've felt for months....and I cant remember who I am sometimes, like I've lost me....and I try to remember Tracy Lawrence's words "I can be me again...deep down I KNOW I can....  "

It's better than I could have planned..
it's made me who I am...

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Lauren, I know this feeling of not feeling like myself after my heart has been broken since New Years Day, and this whole year has been kind of a somber one for me, so much pressure, so much severity, so much lack of movement! (sad sigh) I send angel hugs your way and hope now your room is like a cathedral and is lit with candles and kyries of loves promise, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lauren, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
