I heard you say your words are gone
I weep with sorrow for my part
I am so insignificant
Compared to who you are
And how you write

Without those words
You so selflessly give
I find it hard to breath
For I seek them as a reminder

Of how I long to be
what I ache to feel
how I should view the world
and what I need to keep moving

I stand muted
Stunned into sorrowful wails
Of hunger
For words I took for granted
And what is now gone from my eyes

That which is mine no more
To devour at my leisure
I am stunted by your silence

then you won't see the best that I would love to do for you"

Times can be where words are better than silence, I know how it is to want to hear words and not hear.  Poem good to make think

Excellent Susan,  metaphors abound,  and
you got the punch in all the right places.

Darn that old word of Love.....such

Reminds me of some of my favourite writers
who used to post here at PiP.
They say their muse has left them..
they have no more words.
And I feel so lost when they go.

Thank you all so, so much for the caring responses!

But I have to tell you, this isn't about a lost love.  Actually Nancy pretty much got it right...and I will leave it at that...

You guys are great!

(big hugggsssssssss) I hate to see anyone run out of words, as I believe everyone has a voice and to not sing is like not breathing! (sad sigh) There is a wide language with so much beauty abound, God Bless You, you speak with pure heart, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Susan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I'm sending this one to me own moody muse so
maybe she will take pity on me
very cool write Susan..love the poetic spin you put on the idea of writers block.

JM~ Thank you!  It's even worse when it is someone else's muse and you have come to depend on their writings...

Dixie~ Thank you! I tried a pic that doesn't look sad!!

Susan...Enjoyed. Your words say what so many of us feel, I for one get to where I can't wait to read the next poem from certain people, because their words are like a magnet drawing me in and touching my heart. Sometimes it's like they wrote it just for us.

Thanks so much for sharing...Paul

Okay Susan...I love this. I'll even tell you why. Many times I draw my own inspiration from other peoples works. Sometimes I find my muse in music, sometimes from a poem I have read, or even a conversation in passing. This is just great. I really like how you captured upon the paper canvas the experience. The way there is an emptiness without the other persons words. Well done girl! LOVED IT!

Evoc~

Exactly.  This particular person is someone I have come to trust and admire.  Their words, in poetic form and otherwise make me look at myself and I thought they would just always be there...

I still hold out hope!!!

Thank you for reading and responding!
