Sons of A Divorce

I deserved the
pain and sorrow.
But for them,
I wish that I could
make everything right.

They didn't
deserve to be
the sons of
a divorce.
They deserved
to have a
good life.

--Yes, so sad--so true; however, you sound loving and caring and that you would go to great lengths to ease your sons' pains.

It is from this insight
that one grows to be
a better man.

Teach them the lessons.
They will be thankful
for a good father.

James

My two sons are sons of a divorce...and they turned out to be sensitive, loving men.  Don't be too hard on yourself and they won't be either.  Understanding this heartfelt write.

had to come back and read again...cause my son was also a victum of divorce....but you know, the person he is now is a culmination of 4 people instead of 2, and I truly believe now, thats why he is the great person he is today....he could chose from the 4of us, what part of our characters to model.  So cheer up James, pls if you can...out of all things bad will come a lot of good...if you allow it to embrace you.  I know it's painful...I know dear one.

Thank you Lee J., Mary Ann, Earth Angel, Lady In White and Martie for the nice responses...
My sons are fabulous and I love them very much and no matter how well they have turned out I will always regret being the one responsable for putting them through that painful experience...James
