Here I am, deep in the heart of the woods.
Listening to the different sounds of the melodious
song birds.

The caw of the black hearted raven bespeaks
my mood.  He is so callous, so cold, so shrewd.

And yet, as I close my eyes, you are there.
Always open, honest. The moment, if possible,
willing with me to share.

And this canopy of life has a way of closing in.
But I am so glad you are here, my heart, my soul,
my best friend.
