Lighthearted Laughter

~*Marge Tindal*~

Heard among children
At play in a world of sound
Lighthearted laughter
Giggles across the playground
Reaching ears of elderly~

Smile creeps onto face
In remember of the day
Before the aging
When the lonely came to stay
Minus family visits~

One tear begins trek
Down cheek of remembering
Caressed by a smile
Upon hearing youth's laughter
Such precious moments of sound~

~*When the heart grieves over what it has lost,
the spirit rejoices over what it has left.

Thank you Marge,  for nothing equals so
wonderfully the laughter of a child falling
upon our ears...

At times you hear such an infectious cry of laughter, you laugh right along with the child or the adult.
I do love to read your work. So comfortable to read filled with warmth and love.

They do send us down memory lane, don't they, the little angels?

Hiya Margie and good morning...this was a beautiful tune....reminded me of the kids in summer, swimming in the lake, my window open over the kitchen sink, and the filtering happy sounds of them playing, laughing, what a sound....wish I could have bottled it up and listened to now and then.

what a beautiful write you ahve here.

Thank you all so much for enjoying this one~

In my hometown there is a retirement center just across the street from a public playground ... and when I visit to share poetry (and my little Pomeranian) with the residents ... we often sit on the porch and I see the smiles in their eyes at the sound of the children's laughter in the air~

If you haven't done so lately ... find a retirement/convalescent center in your town and go spread a smile ... they are muchly needed~

Smile this feeling we can have either we are elder or young, but one thing is for sure thats one of the moments when we sit down and think life over again.

I maybe would call this " The sound of the grinning tear "

I like it because its a true thougt to remember.

Oh Marge this is delightful.  There is nothing like the sounds of laughter from a child to make us all feel young again and blessed.  Loved this.
