A Silenced Heart

She's over again for this year,
never having met her Knight
yet proxied by many.

Gifted by eyes that could
read the poems in her,
those they could never write, but wished.

A seller of dreams, he was.
Emotions crossing the midnight lines,
a ceiling of verse to look down upon
the bare of her necessities.

A see-through veil,
wanting to be lifted, but
resistance stilling the night
to torture the "face of reality"
losing her reasoning
to believe.

She looks good in shades of  the blue,
carries it well, but better in black,
where there are no reflections.
Wearing instead, the absorption of loss.

A silenced heart, vaporizing
before its time.

M

my dear... I am sure you would look good in anything..or nothing..but what ever you wore, there would always be something to reflect on..

I have to agree this brought tears, but it's part of who you are.

Hurts to feel this, but you are worth so much more than you are giving yourself credit for. I'm learning about measuring worth, and we are worth so much more than we see with our own eyes. I don't think we ever see ourselves the way other people do. Tears came to my eyes when I read this. Makes me so sad to see these words. Now don't do that anymore..makin' me cry...now where's the hankie? heh...you owe me a hanky. This may seem silly and stupid, but it's what I felt when I wrote this comment. I just write what comes to mind.
Love,
Terri~

I often think that no matter what pain we have endured we are still called upon to do our best each day...for not only do the strong survive but they prosper...James

I may not understand the all of this,
but I do understand the need
behind it.

Well done, Maureen.
