i let myself fall
everyday finding something,
finding someone who makes me less
i become what i hate
losing myself in the shambles of the day

i lie alongside of the debacle of society
discovering myself amidst all that is depraved and perverse

i live and die by status sway
judging sufficiency by ancharical dismay
i crave the esteem i once exalted
desire sanity, desire pride
all that cunning minds have seized

'let me not to the marriage of true minds'
displace the undertows which search me out
emancipate me from the labyrinth
draw me from the storm
take me back to the place i belong

with its crutch, its old age, and its
wisdom it whispers no this won't be the last
