Graphic By Signatures For You

I realize I am not a poet
writing like classics of old
But I do write from my heart
Of my love and our feelings I have told

Though I use not words like others
with images for you to see
I write the best I am able
after all, I am only me

I have not taken any courses
to learn to write, I know you can tell
Many times, though, if I could not have written
From my feelings I would have likely fell

For I also write of heartache
in the past I have had my share
So handle my writings tenderly, please
treating them with love and care

There are many others who are like me
who can write only from heart
Thank you all for accepting us
and for letting us of you be a part

We realize we are not perfect
not writing as some others do
But most of us are still learning
maybe some day we can write as well as you

What IS perfect, anyway?  I know we strive to do our best, we share our best, and if it is not up to someone else's standards, all we can do is continue to be open to those higher planes, taking one step at a time.

I will never be perfect.  But I'll never stop trying to attain perfection.  It's my bruises I receive in life that add color to my perspective.

Your words touch me for I am not a learned writer of poetry. I have been writing 2 years from the heart. My love of reading must be coming to the surface.I never wrote letters, sometimes I would send cards. Call most of the time, but write never. Then all of a sudden the words started to flow, maybe not the way some should think I should, but I do enjoy this new blessing.
Thanks for sharing.

*W*O*W*..Bravo!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for this. These are words that I have said so many times. I've never had any education on how to write, and I feel the same as you do.. like people can tell, but I write from my heart like you. That's why my constructive critique thingy says alot the same as yours. It's from the heart. This is as beautiful as they always are. Your writes are always a treat, and a delight!!! Thank you for always sharing a little bit of yourself with us onlookers of your life, and love, Gary.
Love,
Terri~

Karilea, there you go...saying what I have in my heart.
You are good at that, sweet lady. I guess that's one reason that I love to read you so well. I don't know if you know it or not, but you are one of the ones that I study. And do you know one reason? It's because you are always learning and I can learn from you. You are a very good teacher, my friend...and besides, to me your writing  is perfect.
Thanks for all your help to me and all the others here. Can you tell that we love you?
Hugs

SharaRose, thank you so much for your replies and for your poetry. I love the way you tell your stories. I thought that you had probably taken some courses in college or something. I do love the way your poems always have a personal touch to them.

Yes, Terri, you do remind me of myself in your eagerness to learn...like how to do the graphics and stuff. Just be patient, my friend...you'll learn, and when you do, it will be there to stay!!!
Hugs to you, sweet lady

Barry, you are so sweet. You already know how in awe and amazement I am of your poetry. Sometimes when I read you, I sit here with my mouth hanging open. I personally think that you were born ages ago as one of the classics and came back for us to enjoy your work.

And, do you know what? It amazes me that the giants of poetry like you and Karilea and so many of the others here are the ones who say you are always learning and are always reaching higher in your work. That's what makes me keep going back and reading all of you sweet people, even when sometimes I have no idea what to reply.

Thanks again, Barry, for being you.
Hugs
Ethel

Lee, you are so sweet. You always seem to know
exactly what to say. And, you say it so poetically, too.
Thank you!! I appreciate you, Lady.

(smiles) Oh Ethel, I believe no one is perfect and no poet is perfect either! I believe all honest poets are good poets, and only when one is lying or hurtful to another or blasphemous is the poet a bad one! (big hugggsssssss) I too have never taken poetry classes outside of school and am just proud to be able to ave the freedom to express myself, yay, God Bless You, you are a special and loving poet, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

To be honest I know nothing about 'learnt' poetry. If someone suggests that I'm a poet, I will correct them by saying,"No, I'm a soul writer." I've only been 'soul rhyming'- as I call it. lol - for less than a year. I even tried to stop, but it's addictive. I really have no inclination to study structured poetry. I just like to read about peoples thoughts and feelings. It doesn't matter what style it is written in.

and thank you for this...
for I too write what I feel.
Its so good to have the compassion of the people here.
And still to learn by the words of the others.
