You were there, among the daisies
as petals bloomed the morn in dew.
Eyes enchanting, sparkling with delight,
lips filled with a nectar for which
I thirst.

My senses flip-flop and flip again
as the fragrance of you wafts over me.
How might a man not so strongly
desire the winner’s prize,   when
such is dangled so delightfully
before lusting eyes?

And, when my trek takes me, leaves me
alone in my own heart, I grieve.
For I love you,   though I leave you.
And eternity is too vast a time
to cast petals to the waters of our
spring’s well.

As I shall walk, tearfully walk, into shadows
of what has become our day.

Barry...I was pondering something yesterday brought on by another song...this time it was Todd Rungren.  You splendidly reorganized my thoughts in Magnus tradition.  I am left peaceful by this poem as now fragmented regret no longer exists in my mind. You probably have no idea what I am talking about here...just know, I loved this poem and you helped me more than you will ever know.

Hi Barry, I love the ease and flow with which you write your words. This was so smooth and I enjoyed it very much.

I know this ache... and while those precious moments are more than worth any pain... that walk away is to despise legs capable of motion. *S*

Beautiful write!
