Conflicting Harmonies

Harmonies form in chorus line,
repeating current in my mind...

Here, though not a winter's day
Tenor and alto meld in sway
In walk ‘neath skies of winter gray
With dream of California rays

Yet earth still green, winter unseen
In midst of gold and scarlet stream
I'm caught somewhere in-between
Fall? winter?... an LA dream?

I wonder this October day
Will their harmony cease to play?
Shall we again walk their way?
In folksy Autumn disarray ~

California dreamin’ on such a winter's day

Now close your eyes and sing that line...
And find harmony in your mind

Dedicated to the dentist chair where I heard
“Dedicated to the One I Love” which reminded
me of  “California Dreamin’.” That Mama Cass had one rich voice!

Come on out to California! This is the season when I came here from Missouri, and I highly recommend it. There's some crazy stuff here, but there's also wonderment.

You're not quite ready yet,
but some one day,
you're going to sit down and reflect
on the lives that have passed before you,

and thank, again,
for all that they left behind.

You did Cass proud!

who would have ever thought that a dentist's
chair,  some old but truly not forgotten
tunes would inspire this?  You, of course!

Nicely done Patricia...

Patricia

I've lived here all my life and loved it...and I still dream of other places.

nicely done!

it is funny how music can take us from one place..to another time and back..still finding some sort of relevency in our life today as it did then.

enjoyed this...

I think I need a new dentist, if I had one to inspire me like this I would not dread the visit so much.

I lived in Ca until I was 16 and then moved to OK.I've got to experience the beauty, depth, and reality of all seasons. I enjoy them all.You brought me back a wonderful memory. When we first moved out here I had never been in snow. The closest I had been was seeing it afar on a mountaintop.Well that year it snowed so much that we were stuck in the house for two weeks.LOL Thank you for my wonderful memory and listening to my ramblings.
