LOVE ENERGY!

The fragmented disc of heart in compartments each one apart
holds and retains the errors of life and too all the pleasure and pain.
Amazing in grace in one is a face highlighted by all I can feel;
in another a rock steady and fast in this life always there for me.

I shut down to repair; darkness descends, restricted is freedom to be,
and I must remain silent, withdrawn, awaiting the movement of time
to turn towards then strike the truth that spotlights my reason for being.

I surrender; I do, for how can I give my wishes and dreams first place
in a race that has no finish or start in the brain of a human being
but when released is my heart it boards the train to wonderful fantasy land,
or the future, the past, or wherever thou art, when need blows the whistle on real.

Today the rain falls, cold shivers my bones; it’s a day to cuddle and play,
and yet I left my reality check in favour of thinking of you.

Not yet will I dream for I feel unclean and I’m thinking that maybe it’s time
to grow from an adult into a child and embrace just the wonder of me.
But even a child cries in the night and seeks warmth and company
in spite of the presence of soft fluffy toys that have not their own energy.

The energy, love, is missing and gone for “they” tell me it lives within you
and the barrier, mind, has lost the key and refuses to find it with me.
To “them” I surrender and fold my cards in this unfair deal of life
that gives me a chance then leads me a dance until I have learnt the rules.

Learning is slow in adult heart games and in children too soon they forget
but still I must look for a heart and a mind complete as a whole entity or else
I strive for nought in this life and remain as an ignorant fool.

From foolish to wise can take many lives but time is not on my side
for too the world moves, changes its mind, and decides to start over again
until it surrenders, as I do inside, to the power of love energy!

I am so glad it's Sunday again!

I felt each word wash over me like a warm rush of air.
The truth and wisdom in your writing is to be admired.

Such a wonderful poetess you are Helen,
thank you for your meaningful story this morning.

  Hugs~

Hi, Bluesy - Thank you so much for always reading my stories even though I can't put all that into a true poetic format. But a "Sunday Story" is just that so I've given up worrying about it.  Take care - of your heart!

Seymour T - Thank you too for reading and for taking the time to comment.  Much appreciated!

Helen...I've come to look forward to your Sunday poems...they are much better than Sunday school ever was for me...with lessons that I understand.  Thank you.  Hugs!

Hello Martie!  I've hesitated to post my "stories" being as they are not true poetry but if you think it's alright, I'll continue. Thank you for reading.

Thank you, Marge, for the read.  Staying "uplifted" in life is the hard part for me but I'm trying.

Thank you for this Sunday Story - which of  course is a good "everyday" story - May we all learn from it...
