Feathers glitter
iridescent black,
dark presence
at the side lines of sight,
awareness
at the back edge of soul,
harkening,
warning the enemy
from the Blackthorn
stay away or die,
warning friends
from the Oak top
be wary of the cry today,
its own demanding voice
stark without apology,
borrowing brazenly
any other voice it wants to use
with clarity,
eyes that do not judge
nor do they forgive,
familiar of the Morrighan,
Modron of the Morrigna,
mistaken living monitor of battle,
custodian of death,
the dream catcher
in between awareness
and a man's last breath,
my traveling friend
free bird
watcher of my elemental,
companion in the end.

I for one adore the crow, a beautiful resourceful and intelligent bird/companion but then i'm a dark @#*$@#$ grin
