Why couldn't you leave well enough alone.
Always asking me the questions, knowing
perfectly well
howI would answer.

Then you'd yelled,
marched me off down the hall
towards the office.

Glaring at you,
Pulling away from
your usual grip.

Yes I still recall your sreeching voice

and words you said.

" Don't You Walk Away From Me."

And yet to this day
I still will swear you swore at me.

All I ever wanted was for you
to get out of my face
and leave me alone.

I think that many have had simillar experiences in high school. That's the wonderful thing about poetry.  You can spill it here and know you'll not only be heard, but also understood.

enjoyed reading...

Mmm mean and green I love this. I have memories like this too. The time I got the strap for someone else stealing the other kids pencil cases. I told the teacher it wasn't me...but they found the stuff in my desk. To this day I can't forgive the pricipal who strapped me. He lashed me 'til my hand was red and raw. If ever I meet him again I swear even if he is 100 years old I'll whip off my belt and beat him back. This is why I firmly believe no institution have have the right to hit our children. They were wrong...and 30 years later I still carry the painful memory of how my trust in the education system was destroyed that day.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

I had a fourth grade teacher that pulled me, by the hair, to the front of the class and made me sit in a desk facing the entire class room...all b/c I didn't know the answer to a questions and she thought it was b/c I wasn't paying attention....now that was fourth grade..a while ago for me..and yet I remember the humiliation as if it were yesterday...I think there is a lesson there...

So with all that said, I understand!
