Night waits like a phantom body alone
Images crouching writing shadowing themselves
In a room of their own
Ashtray black with ashes
Come to surround me, tearing me to shreds

Breaking into pieces, wounding paths
Not one emotion will surrender this wrath
Riding a liberated universe simple
My vision will not be rising with tombs

Or a gloomy macabre appetite
Desolate, with wheat fields of the imposed
I will dwell in the light of work
Planting flowered daylight sewn

Awakening, squinting…stumbling
I will fly with one wing, remembering
Listening for a friendly chorus
Suffocate the rogue, with his very own handcuffs

He will not trod my hungry eyes
With foul laundry casings, blackened skies
I will not live in a bottle with smog
But leap with the boundless mobs

Human arms wrap around one another
No matter the weather
Without speculation, fear
Pulling us forward and forever near

Walk with the starving
Bear heavy burdens weight
Like a pack mule on the edge
Unpredictable is Theology Immense

What is it that temps us to walk with a malnourished step?
That we would insist on trading the hearts of our friends?
Roses are harvesting cane…cities springing promises
I will be split by bolts like a tree, rather then shed one moment to parched hypocrisy
I am inconsequential...and so limited, so small
God be my guide in spite of it all....
