In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2003-10-17 12:04 PM

{Let me dream beneath
    midnights hours
as evening falls}

again of you

now just a soft yielding
to memories   both
endless and complete

I am beyond the
   reach of your veil
standing here
the subtle blue of
sky and sea     fades upon
my cheek

"I crave the image of
   your shirt"
simple touches   in
a room with no light

because I've grown so beautiful to you--

in  shadows
the forest

was    kept

I waited  in  darkness --
    for   loving arms,
soft fingers to dry   tears

there are no stars tonight
I weep for them,

with one raindrop--
winter inched  between us
kept our inner light     from touch

give me peace   with

one gentle kiss,
and again I am gone

between the words {of how}

I need the touch
   and smell of rain

where colors melt

Will the wind ever remember
the names it has blown in the past
with its crutch, its old age, and its
wisdom it whispers no this won't be the last
