Center-Worn...to Fall In Place

I saw...
clouds within clouds this afternoon
and my thoughts unfolded
as I walked in the rain,
taking my sorrows with me to the edge,
where my head rested in hands and a taste
of yesterday was all I wished...
but settled for the golden bubbles
tickling as they slid down my throat.

Unworthy of its fullness, the glass sat half empty
and the chatter began to almost make sense...
well, except when I thought about you
and how you found me by the side of the internet road
living in cardboard words and teasing me into submission
until I joined you in a phrase or two, hungry for
the filling of my needs.

I am the forgotten one, a non-conformist
with a pocket full of dreams and a wishing stone
that is center-worn, keeping me stuck on you,
words that blind the truth with silk sheets to soothe the ache
and nature's blanket to Fall upon when my emotions
are exposed and I dance to the rhythm
of the standing time and you.

I have felt my way, unexpectedly,
through the grayness of my miss steps
and somehow managed to make it
through another tomorrow,
this time with a smile of contentment...
leading the way.

Maureen;

ahh yes . . .

except when I thought about you
and how you found me by the side of the internet road
living in cardboard words and teasing me into submission

the internet road . . .
I adore these lines

goodness and this:

I am the forgotten one, a non-conformist
with a pocket full of dreams and a wishing stone
that is center-worn, keeping me stuck on you,
words that blind the truth with silk sheets to soothe the ache
