Not so easily folded
anymore
no simple crease
to follow

You may not envelope me

Cursing you
with stubborn breath
before you should bend me
a single inch

Pine
wooden I
have grown evergreen
ever blue
standing vacant
holding trinkets

Invaluable links to you

Running fingertips
over rings
that mark our years
do you know them

~and pine

for overgrown warmth
of this forest maze

I do
for every time
they tell me not to

among your best... I will reserve judgement as to whether it is your best to date or not...lol...

I will say it is one I enjoyed..and one that made me want to just reach out and hug you... simply because I know what it feel like... to pine..and how rings are markers for passing time...

(smiles) The oaks and pines truly are still druids, who record the grand history through the rings in the heart of their stature! (big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, you truly are a life within poetry, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Gemma, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I feel the sap running from souls depth ...

impressive, ... one more etched to wood.

Trinkets don't always charm the heart...
love is all that matters most, and either holds or breaks the clasp apart.

Geez gemma, you're so good, I wish I wrote this!!!
