Sweet notes roam softly
over morning sheets…
an envelope left for me;

I see tender words,
wishes of happiness;
photo of you on still, crystal lake,
a moment you’ve captured in words,
impressions of smiles.

My heart
is in rapture.

Night exits for entrance of sun
Within this silence…
second envelope left for me;

Poem of changing forest,
a promise of your voice,
photo of you in fisherman gear,
light breeze blows over rippling water,
painting your thoughts.

My soul
is anxious

Sun slowly rises behind heavy clouds,
playing hide and seek…
third envelope left for me;

Dawn and mist
are written in a dance of words,
photo of you in a place
so dear to your heart
enlaced with the wilderness.

My thoughts
are entwined

Darkness lingers along the skies
awaiting majestic light…
fourth envelope left for me;

Diamond sunbeams
of western sky
flash and drift within your poem,
one photo to bring these words alive
another of you on blue waters.

My mind
flows into dreams.

Awakening to radiant sunrise,
conveying shine of gallant stars…
last envelope in hand;

A promise of loving arms,
on your return
in poetic words tickled with romance,
picture taken on agitated lake
crusading under gray cold skies.

My lips
await your kiss
