Suddenly the door bangs, the tears come
Hardening your stride to the edge of the water
And I see you there, a solitary warrior
And I know now the places that weep

Moving me from uncertainty to softness
I walk the windows, as you walk the lake edge
Basket weaves collect the shards of me replenished
Without you, there is no sky

For what has cleared is worthy healing
So much of you a wilderness I pray to discover
Shifting through portals of push and pull away
Giving rise to bubbles of warmth past my tears

But somehow we are close together
Leaving my sanity by the fire…I hear you with my heart
Suddenly, the door bangs, the tears come
And I look into the water there beside you

This is a very deep poem. But it was beautifully written.

Each step a new journey,  each tear a new
cleansing.  Each beat,  a new beginning
as love deepens yet pulls away...

Beautiful write K.  Thank You!
