Western milk glass moon
floating like a cocked hat
in the pale blue morning sky,
icy contrast to the golden dawn,
a drowsy sated night stalking cat;
lovers slept with you last night,
the righteous were preoccupied,
newborns howled first blood to you,
others fought to stay alive.
How many turned their eyes to you
as you coldly watched them die?
Calmly drifting toward an Asian night,
moving white stained glass majesty,
what adventures will we share today;
about what secrets will we lie?

icebox...milkglass...like that!  We give it much heart, when it has only the reflection of the hearts that watch it.

I tried to play favorite line, and couldn't...this is soothingly mellow, and yes, magickal.

"ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh".

I see that Selene is still touching the hearts of poets....:-)

These are most excellent lines:

"newborns howled first blood to you,
others fought to stay alive."

Well done, good poet, enjoyed the read
