where the wild flowers grow

0 posted 2003-10-13 04:06 AM

So few nights will end
on a good note, with me.

I went to bed angry.

The ashes left
to scatter themselves on the floor.
A cyclone of my heaving lung,
I couldn't care less
if the pain is unbearable..
I still like to focus
on my inability to breathe.
In an hour's time I'd called you
and let you listen to me weep.

All throughout the night,
I wait for you.
I dreamt that perhaps, by chance,
there would become a
ghostly message of my humming
'cross the land that seperates.

So much for love, such a tedious
subject to pen.
And such an obsolete requiem, I
still wait for the ink
to fade .. in disgust
by my heart and it's infernal wrapping,
tapping,
ticking and tocking..

The day wasn't meant to end this way,
with my insanity drawing on my blood.
My yearning, creeping like a
menacing vine.

As if I couldn't feel this
painful progression as you
played up and down the strings..

With your obscure comfort,
the crackling lines of your voice..
An intoxicating moan of mention..

That I..
am of more importance than
I give myself credit for.

Tonight,
I failed to realize..
That sleep is not neccesary,
untill I've seen
the sunrise.

Wow...This is exactly the kind of night I had last night. Can't believe someone else was able to put it so perfectly into words.
This was really beautiful. I love your style of writing.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Meghan, this is wonderful, sweet friend, I believe we always must rest on some ember pillow, for sleeping is rejuvenating and without recognizing the light only leaves us in deeper fatigue the next day! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Meghan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
