OH CAPTAIN,
OUR CAPTAIN!

You are INSPIRE...
       Passion’s fire...
               a constant torch
                        whose words we desire,

they help get our
puppies off the porch
to leave fresh paw prints
on our blue pages,
enjoyment for readers
of all ages.

To prove how well you
       light our fires
               just read Duncan’s
Iambe,

for kindling starters,

then know why

       we love you so.

(smiles) Oh Kacy, Ron truly is a great inspiration here, sweet friend, and it is evident with all the sagas he has brought on here and the many duets he has written with other fine poets here, he truly is a walking compass rose that knows the whole heartland by the back of his hand! (big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

That's my bud... !!

Ya'll are aware that I taught him everything he knows, right???
Yep, one day he wandered onto the porch and I was holding a pen in one hand, a beer in the other.  He said, "Hey Dunc, can I get one of those?"
So, I handed him a pen.
The rest, as they say...is history.
Ya don't think he meant the beer, do ya???

Kacy you're a sweetheart!!

Yer a rascal, porch puppy.
Of course, I would have given up the beer first, rather than my pen!
But then, that's me.
LOL

LOL.... Now... I'm just plumb honored.... and being the shy bashful  kind of guy I am.. not sure what to say here..except that Duncan's story is almost true... he was on the porch ok..that part he got right.
as I remember it... he asked me what was that thing I had in my hand..and I told him it was a pen..to which he asked' " Can you chew on it?" "Does it taste good?"

Thank you ma'am.... for thinking of me..and for the very nice words. Words I am sure I do not deserve any more than everyone else here...

If I worked for the government and had the day off, I'd sit here and argue the Capt's story, but some of us gotta work today and don't have computers in the kitchen!!!!

yanno(in the words of Karen)...some of you are jealous of those wonderful government jobs...sorry, Dunc, deal with it!

As for you, Humble Ron, get over it! You know your great, and we know your great...

I have a story too...about a year ago..I was minding my own business and this Cpat came up to me...and said "your words are like sugar and I am diabetic, will you write Lacy for me?"...and he handed me a chewed up pen...

You know I love you Ron!!

LOL, but these replies are making me smile this morning.
Capt and Duncan, glad you both know how to do more than chew on the pens.
Susan, can you write that one up in another poem? Pretty please?

Yep--ya gotta love the replies on this one...

and yes I know Ron doesnt like the spotlight but hey---thats just part of the territory when youre a pretty blue flame (insert moth chuckling here) yayayayaya

But seriously...I'm glad Kacy posted this(thank you Kacy) and gave a place for us to thank you Ron, for the inspiration and also for the things you teach both thru your writing and your friendship...neither of which this moth takes lightly. And though I have been inpsired by many here--for different reasons and on different levels and by some more often than others... *sigh* ( HUSH no moth jokes KA and Dunc) LMAO ....

No one other person in here has inspired me so many times to reach outside my personal mothy emotions and to JUST WRITE for the need to create beyond personal expression.  The "Jake" writes only exist because of you Ron--
and yes...I know youre humble...
but the moth is grateful... so just enjoy the spotlight...you deserve your time in it--and you wear it well.

He's a smooth one, he is.
He reads just like 10 degree vodka drinks.

Nice one Kacy, now I'm inspired to crack open a cold one.

Ahhhh Hah!  I knew it.....as soon as I saw
Dunc's reply....I knew it....I knew Ron could
not have written all of those perfectly
suavay and deboner stuffs.....

Thanx Duncan for shedding some light on the
silken side of Ron that really doesn't
exist....Right?

Seriously,  I had to dunk you twice Ron...
I know how you hate kind words and praise,
so I decided to act like Toe a little bit
and Dunc (sp) you, so to speak.....

Thanx Kacy for giving me the opportunity to
shell the Capt. a little bit...but I won't
sink his boat....I only have one life
preserver and it's Miiiinnnnneeeee!!!
