In the soft, yellow light
of the Sun, little Fawn Eyes
peeks out to see where
the playful forest spirits
are hiding. The spotted fawn
by her side stares out
at the filtering light
spreading through the trees.

She giggles at the touch
of the fawn's nose
and crinkles up
her brown, doe-eyes. She
taps the slender trunk
of a white birch, and zig-zags
through the bushes
playing a frolicking game of tag
with friendly, tree spirits.
She can see what many cannot see.
And, she basks in the love
and the protection of
the many spirits of the forest.

Her dark, brown hair
framing a beige face. Childish joy,
the beauty that shields her
from any sadness. She only knows
the pure delight of being
with her forest friends or with
the little, spotted fawn who trails
behind her...with eyes of love.

Very beautiful, Ivy...  Such a tranquil and
enjoyable scene...  The title caught me right

Sweet, soft, almost surreal. I love the purity and innocence of this write.

Happy Autumn!

Ivy, this is so adorable!! Like Barry,
the title caught my eye.

I love animals.  Deer are beautiful creatures to me.
I love to watch them running. It's about the time of
year for them to start coming out of the woods around here.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem.

(smiles) Oh Ivy, this is absolutely gorgeous, sweet friend, this reminded me so much of Bambi, one of my favorite Disney movies ever! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is so innocent and adorable, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ivy, thank you for sharing!
