The Glitter of The Sun and The Glow of Moonbeams

It was early spring when we first met.
I was gazing out the window,
and listening to your laughter
and to your voice-
They had the sound of music to my
weary and tired mind.
You said when I turned I smiled-
My eyes were filled with intelligence
A person with soul.
We talked and laughed of many things.
I was cautious..........My guard went down.
In time you stole my heart.
I did not realize
I only would have you for a season.
You helped me back into the world-
For I was filled with pain and loneliness.
You held out your hands-
They held the glitter of the sun and
the glow of moonbeams.
Now kind sir what will I do?
You have left me for another.
Will you hold out your hands to her
and show her the glitter of the sun
and
the glow of moonbeams?
Will you give her your heart,
or will you leave her like the winter snow,
and only stay for a changing of a season?
At times kind sir I wonder, when the seasons change.
Will you ever again hold out your
hands and show me-
The glitter of the sun and the glow of moonbeams?

Doesn't this more-or-less prove that old saying:
"all that glitters isn't gold?"

Sad, yet it still rings of hope, and it sounds that if he walked back into this lady's day it would shine and sparkle once again. Hope it happens some day.

You can see the glitter of the sun and the glow of moonbeams in a new light, they are YOURS after all .....whatever. They hold sweet memories but also promises ...
Sad, but beautiful.
Love and hugs. Margherita

Bonnie j, this title drew me in and when I read your words I was hooked to your most splendid attempt at describing nature with a part of your life. My Goodness, this is awesome!
