~* Serve Me Up Some Dignity *~

Well here it is Thanksgiving, I’ll get a free hot meal tonight,
No standing in the food line where folks just tend to fight.
We get our turkey dinner, winter boots, warm blanket too,
Please don’t get me wrong, I appreciate all that you rich do.

Once a year they give a dinner expecting me to give my thanks
For sleeping in city doorways, or along the oceans banks.
I hate to ask for even more, but my joy has worn quite thin,
I simply wish to feel contentment inside of me again.

On this Thanksgiving Day will you give me what I need?
It’s not the turkey, or pumpkin pie, jut a simple little deed.
Would you be prepared to loan me that twinkle in your eye?
Let me take on your smile and just try it on for size?

Would you lend me your laughter for a little while?
I promise to take care of it, I just want to try it on for style.
The turkey dinner's wonderful; please don’t get me wrong,
But just for once I’d enjoy feeling there's somewhere I belong.

Could you spare some of your dignity so I may raise my head?
Let me feel for just one day, I wished I were not dead?
Today you touched my dirty hand, and made me feel you cared,
You gave me hope for brighter days ~ not too many have dared.

See, we don’t need a handout, just a few kind words or a smile,
Or just a minute of your time to talk with us a while?
In this caring from your heart, costing only a smile or two,
Every bit of joy you share will all come back to you.

                  Happy Thanksgiving

(big hugggsssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, I too have always felt Thanksgiving as a day where everyone should give and share the wealth, not a day to watch football on a day other than Sunday or Monday and just to slave over a hot stove! (smiles) You have a most golden and compassionate heart, sweet friend, I wish everyone in Canada a happy Thanksgiving and for all the children and less fortunate to have a twinkle, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I don't need no proof when it comes to God and truth
I can see the sun set and I perceive

May all the blessings of this day stay with you all year.  I hope that  the abundance, thankfulness, and love that will be shared on this day remains with you always, and thank you.

I'm thankful - That my dear friend Mysteria can enjoy her Thanksgiving Day with her family this year.  Life has a way of taking unanticipated twists and turns.  Sharon's has certainly done that this year.

Enjoy your day, Sharon - and give Todd, Brenda, Tori, and Tasha big hugs from me...
