Oh, but to feel the touch, His hand
upon the soar of highest light.
To see the vision, clear and planned,
to feel it’s all....just right.

To taste the wine of water’s flow.
To rake the leaves of Autumn crest.
To let one’s mind simply know
the journey won, in lonely quest.

To live and breath the pure clear air
and take the life into the haze.
As one might seem to softly share
of waking thoughts, of wanting days.

If but one must, and must one will
be led the path of cobblestone.
Might one then hear the warbled trill
as on the trek, one feels alone.

For in the day of waning light
a voice shall come into the mind.
A voice to guide a journey’s flight,
a whispered sight before one’s blind.

I'm not sure about a title, but you have certainly taken me to "peace of mind"

Thanx Sy,  a good thought...I will let the
candle burn and see what comes of this.

Edder,  yes, does me as well....must have
been a subliminal thing, cause I just let
the words fall onto the page....not knowing
where I was headed...  but now I see it was
very clear...  Thanx

It is such a joy to read your rhyme once again.  I have been writing only free verse (that is when I do write...never enough hours in the day.)  I wanted to write today...rhyme, in fact, but every attempt was fruitless.  OK, enough about me!

A suggestion for a title:

"One Guiding Voice" or just drop the "one"..."Guiding Voice"

A lovely write, Barry.  Enjoyed this so much this evening and you spoke to many of the thoughts I had throughout this day.

Ahhh,  Patricia,  you too have given me a
great choice to use for a title of this
small and humble expression.  Mayhaps I
should flip a coin?  Nahhhhh,  too crude.
Straws?  Sticks?  Toothpicks?    OK,  I
give for now....  tanx Kid...
