VORTICE

I feel the sinking feeling
The sand quickly spinning 'bout
Scrambling up the side
But, sliding down and out.

Like an old hourglass
Running one end to the other
When the last grain falls
There won't be another.

There is no way to stop it
No way to slow the flow
And when it comes to a stop
I wonder if, I'll even know.

Will I leave an imprint
In those sands of time?
Will someone in the future
Wonder, "Who wrote this rhyme?"

My words got carved in granite
That's one thing that makes me proud
But, will those words be silent
Or, will they be read out loud.

Will it make a difference
That, I was even there?
Will some things that I wrote
Make someone think or care?

But, there's one thing for sure
That will happen, without doubt
That it won't make no difference
When the sand has all run out.

aha, but it does make a difference

I'll hold onto my sand as long as I can.

(sigh) So very true, nevertheless until then it does truly matter with everything else other than the hourglass! (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is wonderful, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Del, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I can answer some of those questions right now... something this excellent will be remembered. *S*
