The fall is no slow thing --
a heady, constant sting
the recipients of said fall
will do their best to numb away.
So smiles can be wired ready,
and eyes can stare without reproach.
And hands can clasp from hand to hand,
the soft dry weight that flesh provides.

The fall is no sudden thing.
It unlatches, loosens, over years.
The sky one day may seem bright gray,
but soon it will blue up again --
one gets used to seeing changes
in the surface of a texture
through a screen of abused thoughts
filtering spilled over words.
Catch them at the lip, and sip
or sooner may you fall than not.

This was good. You put your words to where they just fall all in a row with the ease of being able to understand.(not sure if that made sense or not..lol).Anyways I much enjoyed this.

Meg- And the Texan pushed the Mexican out of the plane and screamed, "Long live the ALAMO!!!!!!!!!"

Ron,

Same here, actually. If I couldn't laugh, I'd be dead.

(said with humorous overstatement)

Thanks, Maree. I appreciate that.

What about China? Have you seen the Great Wall?
