I read your words today
and felt them touch
just below my navel
in a silken caress that made me shudder
in anticipation of the next
While I arched my back to draw them closer
only to be left with an ache at their end

an empty void
                  I wanted to fill
with some essence of you
another word
                   or two

I did not know the tremble
of so much inside
could be left without release
and that I could be moved
to want your pen
to touch me one more time
leaving me,
head back
and eyes closed
as waves of what you sparked
touch off a flame
and I am spent
in burn…

waiting ..

          to read you
again

Words cannot express what I've learned from so many poets, and it is refreshing to read, pick me ups, insight, honesty, a wealth of knowlege, and love.

This was a very beautiful source of hugs.  Thank you for sharing

Ah yes, some of our poets have just that touch to their words that they leave us wanting for more, lingering near to see their name again....
I know this well.  This peice moves me and is a beautiful gift to all...
Hugs to you this morning capt....

It is nice to have a place to post poetry, but I have found that, here, I most enjoy reading the work of others like yourself.

Thank you for putting into words what I also have felt.

--and I enjoy yours as well!   LOL --sorry, I couldn't resist that! Mind you, I truly do enjoy your poetry! I know you are a humble man, and I do go on and on when something really turns my crank, but your poems really do!

I share the sentiments that you expressed in this write--Oh, yes! Indeed I do!--and one of those poets is YOU!

Appreciative hugs,
EA

I know this feeling
all too well Ron...
But, you expressed much better
than I ever could...

There are some who write and post here
that you just cannot get enough of..
and when you click on their words..

you just, never ever..
want them
to
end.

Beautifully spoken,
Hugs~

Exactly, Capt. Ron...exactly. Sometimes, we
don't know what we have until we don't have
it for a while, do we?

This is such a sweet poem, Ron. Thanks for
sharing your heart with us.

Hmm, if I arch any further I'll end up prostrate on the floor! LOL.

Yep, your words caress like a warm moist kiss on parched lips.

There's not much left to say.  But, I had to reply.  I know exactly that feeling of being held captive by these amazing writings here and the desire for more. Expressed amazingly in this poem.  I loved it!

Ron ... I have learned so much from so many here and can never thank Ms. Marge enough for hounding me to 'come on over.'

This site has become a family of dear friends to not only me but so many regulars who frequent here with their unbelievable words.

With each read I am awed by the magnitude of impact that the poems have on me.

Thank you for writing this and thank you for being one of the poets I look forward to reading.  Hugs and luvs, Marti

Wow..I know I don't know you, but everytime I have read you I can see why you are worthy of this site, and all the good things it brings to your life. I read this, and immediately water came to my eyes. What beautiful words is this? Otherworldly? In awe is all I can say. Don't know what else to say. ? Except for maybe this...I feel honored to write here if it gives anything to you, and if I feel that then the people that really know you must feel that all the more. For what it's worth, I hope all in your life prospers for the better things that life can, and does bring. Just makes me wish I could write better to grace your pages. One can only hope to do better. Thank you for all you give!
Love,
Terri~

I have been writing about two years and I have met some of the sweetest people on earth. They are caring, compassionate and so many more words that have filled me with laughter, tears, a smiling playfulness. So many emotions I have felt since I started to write. Thanks for this lovely poem of beauty.

You've always been a man of words
And though we don't meet frequently
Know that I often read in silence
With great respect for rhymes of thee

Thank you Capt.Ron for your heartwarming words.
