Staring at the screen
So bare, bereft of pen and ink
Words await the finger's click
The mind needs but to think...

To organize these random thoughts
To make it all make sense
These seem to be the poet's urge
Relentless and intense...

For any artist driven
Searching deep within their mind
The need is there to spill the words
A pouring of soul's wine...

The same it is, as it once was
In days of quill and blotter
All thought becomes more food for thought
And thus poetic fodder...

Accept these small gifts from my gypsy heart  ~S~

I must say that I do agree,  very much so.

I have those days,  and it is here where I
find the fuel for my fires and the fodder
which that muse spreads all over my searching
mind.

Thanx,  this is a cute poem.

Hi SharaRose, and thank you!  Those blank screens drive me crazy sometimes, so I pull out the good old pen and paper, and my muse seems to enjoy that!!  ~S~

Hi Marge, and thank you!  Oh, I know that you have to be one of my most inspirational writers here...I always get ideas when you share your wonderful thoughts with us!  ~S~

Hi Sue, and thank you! Lately I have truly seen a new and very inspiring poetess in you, and it is such a joy to read you here...keep writing, as I love it!  ~S~

Hi Lotus Breeze, and thank you!  Yes, my muse directed me to the dictionary, and it's surprising how many words match the word fodder!!!  LOL!!! ~S~

Hi Magnus, and thank you!  So glad that you could identify with this, as it seems to be a similarity with all the Passion muses!  ~S~

Hi suthern, and thank you!  Along with the feast is the famine sometimes, but thank goodness it doesn't last that long...can be very frustrating to draw those blanks!  ~S~

Hi Lauren, and thank you!  One thing in my life I found that usually works is to keep it simple!  Fortunately my muse has a great sense of humor!!  ~S~

Hi Midnitesun, and thank you!  I knew when I wrote this, that most of us had gone through the same mental searching, so it was a truth we could all understand!  ~S~

Hi Crystal, and thank you!  It's those little insights that give us something to write about when all else fails, eh?  With me, it's an addiction almost...just gotta write and write and write!!!  ~S~
