An Amber Tear

Within the amber, sealed a tear
A bit of real from yesteryear
Absorbed within a weathers clime
A little bit of frozen time

She holds it to the bright of sight
To magnify the tear in light
And turns it in a circles steer
To amplify its awesome sheer

And in the spirit of arcane
She thinks about the tears distain
What had caused this pain to flow?
A mystery she’d love to know

Perhaps it was a raindrop caught
Or dewdrop was in her thought
But teardrop would not leave her mind
And teardrop it would stay unsigned.

She wore it smart next to her heart
A piece of frozen timeless art

WOW, that is incredibly creative.  So many talented poets here.  People like you humble me.  I very much enjoyed this poem.  In fact, it's probably my favorite since I've been coming here.  Kudos to you my friend!  Thank you for sharing that. Truly.

best wishes ~JD~

Dear Seymour, this is wonderful and speaks to me quite deeply, as I do love amber and whenever I look into its treasures I wonder just in the way you put so masterfully.
Library!

Our new member americanjoe is in for a treat when the archives are back up, isn't he, Sy?  If he thinks this one was a WOW, which of course it is...[you only leave the very best], then he's going to feel like a kid in a candy shop when he has a chance to go back and read all of your little treasures...

Good morning, Sy!

This write encompasses all that I adore so about your poetry... the word play and phrasing...the vocab...the compassionate chemistry of emotion and expression and always the heady mix of metaphor, personify and imagery all expertly displayed in your gift of rhyme and cadence.

Youre my King of Cool and my Guru of Groovy.
