~*~

Impeccable, in faded blue jeans
dashing in your demeanor and neatly pressed
the way you floss and gloss it over
suiting your mood, parted to one side.

Your humor offset by the smile in your eyes
enduring and alluring to come a little closer
precise in your method of operation
dressed down to please.

Consoling yourself, that you gave fair warning
a bend in the curve, but don't let it throw you
there isn't more than you're seeing
just fallow my lead.

Don't allow yourself to dream in make believe
take your time to absorb it all
blot me off your lips and look away
deny your part, and carve out a notch.

Like it or not, I've got your number
tattered around the edge
torn from the turning over and over
I've played out my hand

and my heart has withdrawn, for keeping.

Agreeing with Sunny here...and? if the strength that flows from your pen also runs in your veins, then there's no safer place for a heart to be.

Bluesy, I admire how honest you are with your feelings.
That really says a lot!

So hey, throw in your ante and tell them to deal you back in.
There's always another hand to be played.

I’m sure that king of hearts you need to make
a royal flush, is just around the corner...

Great One Blusey Woozy...lol

Sunnyone~ That was awful nice of you.  Thanks.

Edder~ It's just a front, truth is,  I'm a wimp!
You are much to kind and I thank you for that.

Crystal~  I don't know any other way than to write from my heart,
Doesn't mean it always works in my favor!  Hugs and thank you.

Girlielocks~ You not only inspire me, you keep my head above sea level!
Lolo, I don't care what they say, blonde is good!!

Richy~.  Have no fear I've got an ace up my sleeve!
Thank you for the warm fuzzies,
you have no idea what your replies mean to me!

dertah~  uh huh, glad to hear my poem pleased you,
and I thank you for telling me so.

Hello Maree~  Oh I know I can get all worked up over nothing,
but it doesn't take me long to settle down
and see things for what they are.
Hugs, you~

Ethel Dear~ Under control, who me?  I will survive, come hell or high water,
but I know that you know it's not easy.  Thank you so much!

Hey I'm just playing by the rules Duncan, don't read into it!  (too much)
Thank you for paying me a favor, does my heart good to see you here.

Too intense perhaps, but I like her that way.
Thank you Kacy~

The only answer to this one is...a little sigh. I want to say the word sadness, but that's not it...we need a new word for the feeling you show so well.

I agree with Ratleader... this one gets a sigh. *S* For this has sense of strength... knowledge of your own worth... the sad being that it wasn't appreciated. *S*

very powerful, yet sometimes it does slap us in the face and we come back for more, good for you, even though I know it's far from easy.

Thank you Ed~  You're right, but there are no tears in the end.
(now that I'm over it)

Suthern~  Some things just aren't meant to be....sigh~
Thank you very much for reading, hugs Ruth~

Spirit strength...that is a lovely thought, thank you Martie.

Hello Rosebud~ No, it's not easy, but I knew that going in.
Thank you for your caring reply.
